A key premise of our work to reimagine higher education is that we should move forward with the needs of learners and communities at the core of our inquiry. We are planning listening sessions in communities across the nation, and are looking forward to other opportunities to engage communities.
But this work doesn’t begin from a blank state. There is a good deal that we already know about learner views from research conducted by organizations like Lumina Foundation, Gallup, and New America. We combed through that data for insights that we can use as a baseline to guide this work. The findings are linked here.
There is always new data coming out, and we would love to know if there are additional reports or resources we should be aware of to inform this conversation moving forward.
Please take time to review the brief, let us know what you think in the comments, or share additional resources that we may not have mentioned
